# Council Advances Housing, Clean-Fleet, and Well-Plugging Grants at July 21 Meeting

Fort Collins City Council met in regular session on July 21, 2026, with all seven members present, and moved a slate of state and federally-funded grant measures, according to the meeting's action agenda.[^1] The meeting opened with a proclamation declaring July 2026 Disability Pride Month.[^1]

Council adopted on second reading Ordinance No. 080, appropriating $792,434 in Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) grant revenue through the Transit Oriented Communities Infrastructure Program to build infrastructure supporting the Switchgrass Crossing affordable housing development.[^1]

On its consent calendar, adopted 7-0, council approved Ordinance No. 100 on First Reading, appropriating $1,806,281 in Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Clean Fleet grant revenue, plus $921,914 in matching funds, to replace 13 end-of-life city vehicles.[^1]

Among items planned for discussion, council adopted on First Reading Ordinance No. 101, providing $157,000 in DOLA grant funds and $83,000 from the 2050 City Climate Tax for accessory dwelling unit design plans and eligible fee waivers.[^1] Council also adopted on First Reading Ordinance No. 102, waiving basic development review to facilitate a Larimer County-led effort to plug and abandon orphaned oil and gas wells in northeast Fort Collins.[^1]

Council approved a motion to enter executive session to discuss strategy for potential business incentives tied to an unnamed project.[^1] The meeting adjourned at 9:02 p.m.[^1]
